Le carnet d'une Franponaise

Presque 2 mois que je n'ai rien posté..... J'ai honte!!!!! Je sais aucune excuse!!!! (ah si je bosse 14h par jour) Mais bon, je triche un peu et comme j'ai toujours mon appareil foto avec moi je vous met des fotos de ma petite vie japonaise ces dernieres semaines. Plein de bisous a tout le monde!!!

It's been almost 2 months since my last post... I'm ashamed and  have no excuse!!! (well I do work 14 hours a day) Anyway, I'm going to cheat a little bit and post all the pics of my japanese life for the past few weeks so check them out! Hope everybody is doing great, I miss you guys!!!!

Héhéhé!!!! Enfin un peu de temps pour s'impregner de la culture japonaise.... Et le temps d'une soirée je me transforme en vrai jap!!!!  Preparatifs:

Finally I have some time for some japanese culture.... I became a real japanese for a few hours!!! Preparation:

Une fois prete, on est partie se ballader dans le parc de Ueno

Once ready we went to Ueno Park

Bon, pour le reste je fais un album parce qu'il y en a trop!!!! Et bien sur, on a fini par des Purikura!!!!

For the rest I'll make an album because I have too much.... And of course we finished by Purikuras!!!!!

Pendant 5 jours je suis aller a Hokkaido...pour bosser.....

Hilton a ouvert un nouvel hotel a Niseko et pour le G8 comme l'hotel etait plein de journalistes, les autres hilton du Japon ont envoyé du staff pour aider. L'hotel est magnifique, genial pour skier en hiver et faire du golf l'ete mais alors il y a rien de RIEN!!!!! On doit marcher plus d'une heure pour trouver le premier combini

I went to Hokkaido for 5 days....to work!!!!

Hilton just opened a new hotel in Niseko and for the G8 that hotel was full of journalist so other hilton from Japan sent some staff to help. The hotel looks great, it's awsome for skiing in winter and playing golf during summer but there is nothing around!!!! We had to walk for more than an hour to get to the closest 7/11!!!!!

Le dernier soir on a meme eu droit a un repas japonais dans le restaurant de l'hotel!!!!

The last night we even had a japanese meal in the hotel restaurant!!!!

Et devinez ou on a fini la soirée????? Karaoke, bien sur.... Juste pour info, les quelques japonais qui etaient avec nous sont vite rentré et on a fini la soirée a chanter en anglais entre gaijins (étrangers)

Guess where we finished the night???? Karaoke, of course....FYI the few japanese that were with us went home early and we finished the night singing english songs with gaijins (foreigners)

Soirée Yakitori avec Nurten et Didi

Au menu: Tofu frit, yakitori au fromage et bacon, poulet frit, oeuf de caille et bacon, yakitori canard et poireaux, champignons et bacon, asperges et bacon..... et en dessert: flan et glace au thé vert

Fried tofu, cheese and bacon yakitori, fried chicken, quail egg and bacon, duck and leeks, mushroom (Kate see how cute those mushroom are???) and bacon, asparagus and bacon... and for desert: flan (of course not as good as the one Luis make) and green tea ice cream..

a y est j'ai craqué.... J'ai fini par acheter un poutchi-poutchi....

Et puis quitte a acheter de la merde ben j'ai pris un edamame aussi, reproduction plastique des haricots que les japonais mange en apero...

I'm ashamed to say it but I bought a Poutchi-poutchi....

And I also took a Edamame, plastic reproduction of the bean japanese eat as a snack with their beer.

Entre les immenses tours supra moderne et les maisons traditionnelle, a Tokyo le mix est assez hallucinant

C'est vrai que nous les filles on aime se refugier dans les sucreries quand on est en manque d'affection mais quand meme, un choux a la crème ça remplace pas un bon petit calin....

Mamours in French is all those hugs and kisses and sweet words you exchange with your lover...(if anyone has a better explanation please leave a comment)

I know girls tend to eat a lot of sweets when they crave for affection but still, a cake will never replace a great big hug...

Il y a 4 ans vous avez adoré les gateaux rapportés de mon voyage au Japon (oui bebe je t'en ramene en octobre) donc je voulais vous montrez une petite selection de ce qu'on peux trouver au 7/11 (mini superette ouverte 24h/24) a coté de chez moi

4 years ago, I had bought lots of snacks and candies when I came to visit my dad here and my friends loved them so here is a little exemple of what I can find at the 7/11 next to my house. (Kate I'll look for beef jerk for when you come to visit me)

Explanation: we don't have those kind of cups in France so when we knew we where going to the States with Leslie and Pauline, we were always talking about having a huge party with those kind of cups like we saw in movies....And I found them here....so I feel just like at home at the Blue house....

Cette semaine mon boss me laisse un peu de répit et au lieu de commencer a 7h du mat tous les jours, je commence a 10h. Donc mardi soir, je suis allée me faire un petit resto avec Nurten. Comme le mardi n'est pas busy, Didi nous a rejoins car il a fini le boulot plus tot.

On a ete dans un petit resto grill a coté de Shinagawa (la ou vivent Didi et Nurten). Ici n'importe quel petit resto est tellement soigné...que ce soit le service, la presentation ou la qualité de la nouriture, ça m'impressionne.

Encore une fois je n'ai pas beaucoup de fotos...sorry!!!

This week, instead of starting a 7 everyday my boss was nice enough to let me come at 10. So on Tuesday night, I went to have dinner with Nurten. Tuesdays are slow at the hotel so Didi came to join us as he finished early.

We went to a little grill restaurant in Shinagawa where Didi and Nurten leave. Here any restaurant even the smallest are so great, the sevice, the presentation and the taste of the food, I'm really inpressed!!!

Once again I don't have to much pics...sorry!!!!
